Three Novels by James Plautz

1.   OUT OF BOUNDS

              A Novel by JIM PLAUTZ

OUT OF BOUNDS is a gripping novel of Corporate Finance, Drugs, and Politics, told

in a backdrop of a highly competitive Golf Tournament. What starts out to be a

two-day, 36 hole Match Play club championship between former friends, becomes

a high stakes, life and death struggle with far-reaching consequences. The author

has created a cast of intriguing, real life characters and themes.

  • "You don’t need to play golf to enjoy this book, but it helps."
  • "The character development is excellent."
  • There are so many twists and turns; very much like the game of golf."

Jim Plautz is a businessman, avid golfer, tennis player and father

of three. Originally from Wisconsin, Jim now makes his home in Tampa,

Florida with his lovely wife, Rosann. This is his first novel.

"I tried to structure a novel similar to the Stephen Frey (The Day Trader,

Silent Partner, etc.) books that are action thrillers set in a business

environment. If I came close, I was successful"

PHENOM – Too good to be true. A mid-year transfer student leads his high school basketball team to the State Championship and along the way helps others become better students and young adults. But this is only the beginning. Ten years later these former classmates are asked to repay their debt when Mathew is severely injured in a basketball showdown with the Muslim basketball star known simply as the Mahdi, or Chosen One. The same day we discover the Ark of the Covenant.

Jim Simpson is a willing pawn in Mathew's grand plan as outlined in the Bible and Muslim Hadiths. Simpson's  international construction company is hired build a resort on Ethiopia's Lake Tana and later is hired to manage an international effort to rebuild Babylon, the Biblical city of sin. Does finding the Ark signal the second coming of the Lord? Or, as written in Muslim Hadiths, does finding the Ark proclaim the arrival of the Mahdi who will lead Muslims to a worldwide Islamic society? Will the Knights Templar finally achieve their prize after a thousand years of searching? What are the ramifications of returning the Ark to it's original resting place on the Temple Mount, now the third most sacred Muslim religious site? Is Ahmadinejad the Dajjal, or antichrist? Does the New Babylon need to be destroyed to fulfill Biblical prophesy?

Is this high school basketball player from Wisconsin really the One?
